He had been with Teck since 2000 including served in senior positions in exploration, mining and corporate development. Prior to Paramount, he served as an In-Charge of the geologic exploration program and production geology at Quebrada Blanca Mine in Chile. Prior to Teck, He had been with Placer Dome in Chile, USA and Africa. Mr. Van Treek is a professional geologist and holds a Degree in Geology from the University of Chile.
