Braskem S.A., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture, sale, import, and export of chemicals, petrochemicals, and fuels in Brazil. It produces and sells polyethylene (PE), polypropylene, tertiary-butyl ethyl ether, gasoline, benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylene, propylene, polyvinyl chloride, caustic soda, butadiene, cumene, naphtha, solvents, and condensate; thermoplastic resins; and basic petrochemicals. The company also supplies electricity and other inputs to second-generation producers; and sale of utilities such as steam, water, compressed air and industrial gases, as well as provides industrial services and natural gas.
