The company also provides automotive products, which include automotive motors and components. In addition, it offers home appliances, commercial and industrial motors, and related products. Further, the company provides industrial robots, card readers, test systems, press machines, and power transmission drives; and electronic and optical components, such as switches, trimmer potentiometers, lens units, and camera shutters. Nidec Corporation was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Kyoto, Japan.
