Following the result, the analysts have updated their earnings model, and it would be good to know whether they think there's been a strong change in the company's prospects, or if it's business as usual. SWX:DKSH Earnings and Revenue Growth February 15th 2025

Following the latest results, DKSH Holding's five analysts are now forecasting revenues of CHF11.6b in 2025. This would be a credible 4.3% improvement in revenue compared to the last 12 months. Per-share earnings are expected to swell 11% to CHF3.67. In the lead-up to this report, the analysts had been modelling revenues of CHF11.6b and earnings per share (EPS) of CHF3.61 in 2025. So it's pretty clear that, although the analysts have updated their estimates, there's been no major change in expectations for the business following the latest results.

There were no changes to revenue or earnings estimates or the price target of CHF79.70, suggesting that the company has met expectations in its recent result. There's another way to think about price targets though, and that's to look at the range of price targets put forward by analysts, because a wide range of estimates could suggest a diverse view on possible outcomes for the business. There are some variant perceptions on DKSH Holding, with the most bullish analyst valuing it at CHF82.50 and the most bearish at CHF76.00 per share. Even so, with a relatively close grouping of estimates, it looks like the analysts are quite confident in their valuations, suggesting DKSH Holding is an easy business to forecast or the the analysts are all using similar assumptions.

These estimates are interesting, but it can be useful to paint some more broad strokes when seeing how forecasts compare, both to the DKSH Holding's past performance and to peers in the same industry. One thing stands out from these estimates, which is that DKSH Holding is forecast to grow faster in the future than it has in the past, with revenues expected to display 4.3% annualised growth until the end of 2025. If achieved, this would be a much better result than the 0.2% annual decline over the past five years. Compare this against analyst estimates for the broader industry, which suggest that (in aggregate) industry revenues are expected to grow 4.9% annually. So it looks like DKSH Holding is expected to grow at about the same rate as the wider industry.

The Bottom Line

The most obvious conclusion is that there's been no major change in the business' prospects in recent times, with the analysts holding their earnings forecasts steady, in line with previous estimates. Happily, there were no real changes to revenue forecasts, with the business still expected to grow in line with the overall industry. There was no real change to the consensus price target, suggesting that the intrinsic value of the business has not undergone any major changes with the latest estimates.

Following on from that line of thought, we think that the long-term prospects of the business are much more relevant than next year's earnings. We have forecasts for DKSH Holding going out to 2027, and you can see them free on our platform here.
