Prior to VG Gold, he served as Vice President of Operations for Northfield Metals Inc., where he was responsible for initiating production at the Cheminis Gold Mine near Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He served as the Chairman of the Board at West Red Lake Gold Mines Inc. from October 18, 2012 to August 31, 2013. He was a Director of Highvista Gold Inc. since July 28, 2015 until December 2018. He has been an Independent Director at Grid Metals Corp. (formerly, Mustang Minerals Corporation) since 1996. He served as a Director of Lexam VG Gold Inc. from August 8, 1994 to May 8, 2012.
