Its SFD technology, an airborne survey system, which utilizes the principles of quantum mechanics to infer stress anomalies of exploration interest by using both onshore and offshore to remotely identify areas conducive to fluid entrapment with commercial hydrocarbon and geothermal potential. The company was formerly known as Energy Exploration Technologies Inc. and changed its name to NXT Energy Solutions Inc. in September 2008.
