Several Insiders Invested In PWR Holdings Flagging Positive News

Published
ASX:PWH

When a single insider purchases stock, it is typically not a major deal. However, when multiple insiders purchase stock, like in PWR Holdings Limited's (ASX:PWH) instance, it's good news for shareholders.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

PWR Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Independent Non-Executive Director Roland Dane made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for AU$400k worth of shares at a price of AU$9.71 each. We do like to see buying, but this purchase was made at well below the current price of AU$12.18. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

Does PWR Holdings Boast High Insider Ownership?

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. PWR Holdings insiders own about AU$163m worth of shares (which is 13% of the company). This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
