Vecima Networks Inc. Announces Management Appointments

Vecima Networks Inc. announced executive leadership appointments designed to support the company’s next phase of growth across broadband access, video, and software-driven network solutions. Effective August 6, 2026, Clay McCreery was elevated from Chief Operating Officer to President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. McCreery has served as Vecima’s Chief Operating Officer since 2020. He previously served as Chief Revenue Officer for Vecima, following Vecima’s acquisition of Concurrent in 2018, managing operations of the company’s Content Delivery & Storage business unit. Earlier in his career, he was Senior Vice President of Sales, North America, at ARRIS, where he helped integrate key acquisitions and supported market share growth in access technologies, DOCSIS® services, and content delivery. During his tenure at Vecima, Mr. McCreery oversaw major strategic acquisitions, including the Nokia Cable Business and Falcon V Systems, helping position Vecima as a leader in fiber access, automation, and next-generation broadband solutions. Over the same period, Vecima more than tripled total company revenue and grew to more than 600 employees globally. In addition, Ryan Nicometo was appointed Chief Product Officer, a newly created role designed to unify product strategy and execution across Vecima’s broadband access, content delivery, software, and analytics platforms. Mr. Nicometo most recently served as Vecima’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Video and Broadband Solutions, overseeing product management, research and development, program management, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain operations. A 25-year veteran of the broadband service provider industry, Mr. Nicometo previously held senior leadership roles at ARRIS and Concurrent, spanning product management, engineering, and commercial strategy across access technologies, video delivery, and content distribution platforms. His experience integrating acquired technologies and aligning product portfolios across business units is central to the mandate of the newly created CPO role.

Vecima Networks Inc. Highlights Innovative New 50G-Pon Products At Fiber Connect 2026

Vecima Networks Inc. will highlight its leadership in next-generation Fiber Access at Fiber Connect 2026. The company will introduce the new Entra EPS1650 All-PON Shelf and showcase the SBM450 Remote Optical Line Terminals (OLT) Module deployed in an Entra SF-4X Node. Vecima will also host a live demonstration of its Entra vPON Manager, which recently received a 4.0/5.0 rating in the 2026 Lightwave Innovation Reviews. Together, these innovations reinforce Vecima's Entra All-PON™ portfolio — enabling operators to deploy 10G technologies while building a smarter, more flexible evolution to 50G-PON across both centralized and distributed network architectures, with long-term scalability and investment protection. With Entra All-PON™, Vecima is enabling future-ready fiber networks with a straightforward migration path from today's 10G technologies to 50G-PON, ensuring long-term scalability and investment protection. The new Entra EPS1650 All-PON Shelf can support 50G-PON, XGS-PON, 10G-EPON, GPON, and EPON services. As a follow-on to Vecima's industry-first demonstration of a single port supporting 50G ITU PON and 10G-EPON in a Remote OLT, the EPS1650 brings that same single-port investment-protection path to GPON and XGS-PON operators in a modular shelf form-factor. The EPS1650 offers up to 32 PON ports of XGS-PON when using double-density optics. When enabled for 50G-PON, up to 16 ports can be configured while simultaneously supporting XGS-PON, GPON, 10G-EPON, and EPON. The shelf is temperature-hardened with redundant power supplies and is purpose-built for cabinet applications. Management and automation are handled via Vecima's vPON Manager. According to Dell'Oro Group, Vecima was the global market leader in Fiber Access Remote OLTs from 2021 through 2025 and continues to demonstrate innovation and leadership in Fiber Access with the EPS1650 All-PON Shelf. Early customer lab engagements are expected in late calendar 2026. The SBM450 Remote OLT Module extends Vecima's All-PON architecture to the network edge, enabling operators to bring high-performance fiber closer to subscribers. At Fiber Connect, Vecima will display the SBM450 deployed in an SF-4X Node, the world’s most-deployed Remote OLT Node, according to Dell’Oro Group. Purpose-built for distributed access environments, the SBM450 Remote OLT Module allows operators to push capacity deeper into the network and optimize network deployment costs. Vecima's award-winning vPON Manager will be demonstrated live, giving attendees a hands-on look at the management and automation layer behind every Entra All-PON deployment — including service provisioning, configuration, fault management, and streaming telemetry, with powerful automation, visibility, and control. All products on display are part of Vecima’s Open Network Ecosystem (ONE™) of interoperable third-party Optical Network Unit (ONU)/Optical Network Terminal (ONT) partners — eliminating single-vendor lock-in for PON CPE and backed by industry-leading investment protection. Attendees can see Vecima’s 50G demonstration and explore the full Entra All-PON portfolio — including the EXS1650 50G OLT, SBM450 Remote OLT, and XGS-PON solution — at Fiber Connect, Booth #925.
