Xer Technologies Launches X8 PRO and Expands Tactical Defence Solutions Xer Technologies launched the X8 PRO, a long-endurance hybrid-electric unmanned aircraft system for demanding defence and commercial missions, alongside the expanded Xer Tactical Solutions portfolio and a new corporate website. The X8 PRO is available now and replaces the X8 as Xer's sole production platform. The X8 PRO carries up to 10 kg of payload, delivers up to 3 hours of flight endurance, operates across a 50+ km mission radius, and deploys from a vehicle in under 3 minutes. It remains stable in winds up to 35 knots and temperatures from -20°C to +45°C - conditions that ground conventional battery-powered multicopters. The system bridges the gap between battery-powered multicopters and full-scale crewed platforms, delivering the endurance and reliability required for persistent ISR, SIGINT collection, counter-UAV operations, mine and UXO detection, and maritime surveillance - at a fraction of the operating cost and carbon footprint of conventional airborne systems. Through Xer Tactical Solutions, the platform supports three core mission sets: airborne SIGINT and counter-UAV, mine and UXO detection, and persistent maritime operations. More than 25 payloads are integrated and hot-swap enabled for rapid field reconfiguration. The platform is STANAG 4817 and STANAG 4609-compliant for full NATO C2 interoperability and supports GNSS-denied environments through alternative PNT solutions. Xer will present at AOC Europe 2026 in Helsinki (19 May), the STA General Assembly in Thun, and DroneVation & Defence 2026 in Vienna. Announcement • Apr 22

Xer Technologies AG Confirms Flight Performance with 2.5 Hours Endurance and 7 Kg Payload Xer Technologies AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xer Tech Holding AB, announced the successful completion of independent flight performance tests, confirming 2.5 hours of continuous flight time with a 7 kg payload, based on recent design improvements to its multicopter platform. This represents a significant increase in capability, as the previous X8 configuration achieved a 3 kg payload under operational field conditions. This level of payload capacity increase enables missions to be completed with heavier and more capable payloads that previously required manned aviation alternatives. In addition, multiple payloads can be deployed during a single mission within one uninterrupted flight. For infrastructure inspection teams, the validated performance means a single aircraft can cover long linear assets-such as power transmission corridors, pipelines, and offshore structures-with fewer weight constraints and without the endurance interruptions that typically limit battery-powered platforms. The platform is engineered to perform reliably in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +45°C, while seamlessly integrating advanced sensor payloads such as LiDAR, thermal imaging, and high-resolution visual systems. Matching the X8 in ease of transport and rapid deployment, the platform is purpose-built for BVLOS operations across a wide range of applications, including energy infrastructure inspection, pipeline monitoring, maritime and port operations, as well as defense and security missions.
