It manufactures, purchases, and markets fertilizers, including urea under the Engro Zarkhez, Zingro, and Engro DAP brands; and poly vinyl chloride (PVC), PVC compounds, caustic soda, and other related chemicals, as well as imports and sells phosphate products. The company is involved in also power generation, distribution, transmission, and sale of electricity; investment in coal mining, foods, dairy, commodities, and trading business; and operates terminal for handling, re-gasification, storage, treatment, processing, importing, exporting, and trading of liquefied natural gas (LNG), re-gasified LNG, liquid petroleum gas, natural gas liquids and other related liquids, gases, and chemical and petroleum products. In addition, it engages in the buying, building, maintaining, and operating telecommunication infrastructure and ancillary products and services; manufacture, process, and sell dairy based products and frozen desserts; owning and operating dairy farms; produce, manufacture, and trade various raw, processed, and prepared food products, including agriculture and farming products; processing and export of rice; and trading of commodities. The company was formerly known as Engro Chemical Pakistan Limited and changed its name to Engro Corporation Limited in January 2010.
