Etex N.V. manufactures and sells building materials in the United Kingdom, France, other European countries, Poland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Benelux, Latin America, Australia, Africa, Asia, and internationally. It operates through five divisions: Building Performance, Exteriors, Insulation, Industry, and New Ways. The company provides interior solutions and systems, such as fibre cement boards, gypsum ceilings and partitions and wall linings, internal thermal and acoustic insulation, shaft walls, finishing, plasters, metal profiles, and passive fire protection; exterior, including agricultural sheeting, architectural ventilated facades, external sheathing boards and thermal insulation, water tanks, and fibre cement slates and sidings; and industrial solutions comprising thermal processing industry, energy, oil and gas, and transport solutions, as well as fire resistant glass and glazing solutions. It also offers insulation solutions, such as glass mineral wool, XPS, White blowing wool, ducting/HVAC, high-performance/vacuum-packed panels, and external thermal insulation; non-loadbearing steel framing systems, and low and mid-rise light steel frame structural solutions; and passive fire protection, including fire doors, fire dampers and storage heaters, compartmentation, fire stopping, structural protection, and transport and tunnel solutions. In addition, the company provides high-tech, lightweight, and factory assembled panelised building solutions; and glass mineral wool and extruded polystyrene (XPS) to insulate residential and non-residential buildings. It offers its products under Acuaviva, Cedral, Durlock, EQUITONE, Eter, Eternit, Euronit, Eternit Tanques, FSi Promat, Gyplac, Gypsum, Kalsi, Permanit, Pladur, Promat, Proteja, Remagin, Romeral, Siniat, Skamol, Superboard, Superglass, and Ursa brand name. The company was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Zaventem, Belgium.
