Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC, together with its subsidiaries, operates as a diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka. It operates through seven segments: Mobility, Retail, Automotive Engineering Solutions, Agriculture, Infrastructure Engineering, Power Engineering & Building Technologies, and Healthcare. The Mobility segment sells brand new, special purpose, and pre-owned vehicles, as well as offers transportation services. The Automotive Engineering Solutions segment provides premium vehicles aftersales, mainstream vehicles aftersales, general engineering, assembly and camper trailer, and education in engineering and automotive solutions. The Retail Segment sells automotive parts, tyres, auto-care solutions, lighting products, power tools, home appliances, gardening, and construction solutions. The Infrastructure Engineering segment is involved in the sale and service of construction machinery; provision of storage and material handling, and car parking solutions; and water and fluid management activities. The Agriculture segment imports, processes, distributes fertilizer, seeds, agrochemical and plant nutrients, agri machinery, and value-added organic food products; trades in coconut based products; and researches and designs techno-parks. This segment also offers agri advisory services; agriculture pipes; agri technologies, including micro-irrigation and greenhouse projects; and processes and sells coconut shell charcoal for local and export markets, as well as operates customer experience center. The Power Engineering & Building Technologies segment provides engineering and related solutions for power and energy; generates solar power; building technologies; and elevator and escalator solutions. The Healthcare segment offers medical equipments, consumables, pharmaceuticals, cardiology devices, and contrast mediums.
