It operates through Consumer Banking, Institutional Banking, Mass Market/Digital Banking, Treasury Banking, and Trust and Insurance segments. The company offers savings, currency, and checking accounts; time deposits; personal, auto, mortgage, and quick loans; debit, credit, and corporate credit cards; bancassurance products; commercial banking; cash management, retail banking, capital markets, corporate and consumer finance, investment management and trust banking services; SME banking solutions; wealth; and treasury products. It also provides customer deposits, funds transfer facilities, and consumer type loans, such as personal, automobiles, and mortgage financing, and credit card facilities. In addition, the company offers mass market financial products and services such as salary, pension, seafarer, motorcycle, company, and LGU salary loans, and traditional deposits; retail financial products, including deposits and loans, on secure digital banking platform; liquidity and funding requirements; and handling transactions in the financial markets covering foreign exchange and fixed income trading, and investments and derivatives products; and trust, asset management, and fiduciary services. Further, it provides insurance and securities brokerage; foreign currency trading and remittance; data processing; venture capital products; and financial products marketing services, as well as acts as a thrift banker and agent for insurance and financial products. It serves retail, corporate, middle market, and institutional customers, and small and medium enterprises. The company was formerly known as Union Savings and Mortgage Bank and changed its name to Union Bank of the Philippines in January 1982. The company was incorporated in 1968 and is based in Pasig, the Philippines.
