Moncler Reportedly Considers Bid for Burberry Shares in Burberry Group plc (LSE:BRBY) jumped as much as 8% after reports that the British designer could be the target of a foreign takeover. Moncler S.p.A. (BIT:MONC), the Italian designer known for its £2,000 puffer jackets, is said to be considering a bid for Burberry, which is struggling to turn its fortunes around after a string of recent profit warnings. Bernard Arnault, the head of the French luxury conglomerate LVMH, which recently took a stake in Moncler, is "keen" to see such a deal happen, trade magazine Miss Tweed reported.
