Is Mantoverde’s Production Disruption Altering the Investment Case for Capstone Copper (TSX:CS)?
Capstone Copper reported in late August 2025 that production at the Mantoverde mine in Chile has been temporarily reduced to about half capacity following back-to-back failures of both ball mill drive motors, with repairs estimated to take four weeks and copper output projected to decline by 3,000 to 4,000 tonnes.
