Adds Two`MIP's Patents for Metals Extraction and Purification Including Lithium and ScandiumSixth Wave Innovations Inc. announced the granting of two additional patents for its molecular imprinted polymers for mining applications have issued recently. The first was by the Uzbekistani patent office, for molecularly imprinted polymer for the extraction of lithium, mercury, and scandium. The second patent granted by the Canadian patent office was for unique method of metal extraction and purification using molecularly imprinted polymers. Molecularly Imprinted Polymers ("MIPS") selectively bind to specific target molecules in manufacturing and other processes allowing for extraction and purification of the target molecule in the presence of other molecules that are not desirable. MIPS are the foundation of the IXOS® product line. World markets continue to make significant investment in secure domestic supply of critical metals to meet the global drive to transition to electrification and sustainable power generation. Clean, efficient metal processing technology must keep up with this transition while upholding the ESG guidelines of western economy. Sixth Wave's IXOS technology delivers these characteristics by reducing use of dangerous and toxic chemicals, reducing energy requirements, and increasing yield providing robust economic advantages. Sixth Wave believes there are significant revenue opportunities for the Company's MIPS for metals purification currently sold under the IXOS® brand name. This technology enables the delivery of efficient, scalable, environmentally friendly, and lower cost solutions to company's mining customers.공시 • Jan 25Sixth Wave Innovations Inc. Adds Peruvian Patent to Growing MIPs Metals Extraction IP PortfolioSixth Wave Innovations Inc. announced that it has been awarded a patent for its molecularly imprinted polymers for extraction and purification of metals and the uses thereof in the country of Peru. Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPS) bind selectively to target molecules allowing for specific extraction and purification of the target molecule in the presence of other molecules that are not desirable. In this case, the patent targets utilizing MIPs to efficiently separating valuable metals from ore processing and waste streams. MIPS are the foundation of the IXOS product line. Issuance of domestic and worldwide patents for Sixth Wave's technology continues to validate the uniqueness of the Company's approach to metals and mining. The real value, however, rests in reducing the ideas to practice and validating their commercial application. The fundamental scientific advancements embodied in this line of patents specifically addresses design, manufacturing, and usage of MIPs irrespective of the target metals offering broad protections and expansion of the IXOS designs to address critical metals and minerals. Sixth Wave has already put this into practice with its IXOS-AuC polymer for gold and silver mining where the Company has completed design, validated commercial production capability, and is actively marketing the product following years of successful testing both in our laboratories and on-site at mines in many countries including Peru. Sixth Wave believes there are significant revenue opportunities for the Company's MIPS for metals purification currently sold under the IXOS brand name. This technology enables the delivery of efficient, scalable, environmentally friendly, and lower cost solutions to mining customers.공시 • Jan 20Sixth Wave Innovations Inc. Reports on Extraction and Recovery of Lithium from Spodumene Found At the Champlain Mineral Ventures Ltd Brazil Lake PropertySixth Wave Innovations Inc. reported on extraction and recovery of lithium from spodumene found at the Champlain Mineral Ventures Ltd. ("CMVL") Brazil Lake property. The focus of the work has been to develop a greener process for conversion of spodumene from alpha to leachable beta spodumene and simplify the process flow sheet to achieve battery grade lithium carbonate. Key objectives are to lower energy costs and utilize safer and greener reagents. Fewer process steps reduce the environmental impact of processing lithium bearing spodumene. The Company completed initial baseline testing of conventional processing using calcination for spodumene conversion and comparison of a conventional sulfuric acid leaching and an improved version of flow sheet utilizing a sodium carbonate solution for leaching. Conventional processing showed adequate recovery to baseline results for a competitive comparison of advanced pathways being developed by Sixth Wave. In summary, the Company has moved significantly forward in elimination and minimized use of toxic reagents and simplifying the process flow sheet while providing a competitive and commercially viable process to battery grade lithium carbonate production. Next steps in the work include continued simplification of the flow sheet to take advantage of lower energy technologies, such as microwave, to convert the spodumene and combining the conversion and leaching steps to further reduce OPEX and CAPEX. In addition, the Company is exploring other unique non-toxic and biodegradable lixiviants targeted toward lithium. While there is some early work to draw on the Company believes that it is developing protectable new intellectual property both in processes as well as fundamental extraction and purification technology. Sixth Wave and CMVL are committed to sustainable mining and high Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. The Company acquired all rights to an emerging class of "green lixiviants" that have direct application to hard-rock lithium mining Green lixiviants garner attention due to their unique properties that are inherently non-toxic, biodegradable with negligible or no vapor. Sixth Wave expects this lixiviant to eliminate costly high energy processes including roasting to convert the spodumene to a leachable state. Subsequent purification of the leached lithium will be assessed using Sixth Wave's IXOS® molecular technology to produce high purity lithium carbonate.공시 • Jan 13Sixth Wave Innovations Inc. announced that it expects to receive CAD 2 million in fundingSixth Wave Innovations Inc. announced a non-brokered private placement of up to 2,000 unsecured convertible debentures at a price and principal amount of CAD 1,000 per convertible debenture for gross proceeds of CAD 2,000,000 on January 12, 2023. Interest on the convertible debentures can be paid in cash or units of the company, at the company's election, at a rate of 15% per annum, payable at the end of the term of the convertible debentures or upon conversion thereof, whichever one if first. The convertible debentures have a one year plus one day term. The company has the right, at any time during the term, to repay in full the principal amount and any accrued and unpaid interest plus remaining interest to maturity on the convertible debentures, provided that the company gives 10 days' notice prior to doing so. At any time during the term, a holder of convertible debentures may elect to convert the outstanding net principal amount and any accrued and unpaid interest plus the remaining interest to maturity, or any portion thereof, into units at a conversion price of CAD 0.05 per unit. As at the date hereof, the company has accepted subscription agreements for the transaction in aggregate gross proceeds of approximately CAD 260,000. The company may pay finders' fees in the form of cash commissions and/or finder's warrants, as determined by the company. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the CSE. All securities that are issued pursuant to the transaction will be subject to, among other things, a hold period of four months and one day in accordance with applicable Canadian securities laws.공시 • Jan 12Sixth Wave Innovations Inc.
