Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire an additional 30% stake in Japan Marine United Corporation from JFE Holdings, Inc. (TSE:5411) and IHI Corporation (TSE:7013). Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire an additional 30% stake in Japan Marine United Corporation from JFE Holdings, Inc. (TSE:5411) and IHI Corporation (TSE:7013) on June 26, 2025. Upon completion, Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. will own 60% stake in Japan Marine United Corporation. The voting rights ratio JMU will change from the current Imabari Shipbuilding: 30%, JFE: 35%, IHI: 35% to Imabari Shipbuilding: 60%, JFE: 20%, IHI: 20% after the transaction is completed. In addition, there will be no change in NSY's business operations or investment ratios as a result of this transaction.
