He has nearly 30 years of experience in finance, the last 20 of which were spent at a large Canadian manufacturing company with global operations. As Vice President, Finance and the leader responsible for all of the company's financial activities for the past 11 years, Nicolas has demonstrated his ability to support large companies in achieving their results. Nicolas will join METRO on March 17, 2025 as Executive Vice President, Finance and will work closely with Franois, who will remain in his position as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer until April 17, 2025, to ensure a smooth transition.

Metro worked with experts and specialists to design and implement this program with a unique methodology. The development of the program's classification criteria was based on research data, analysing Canadian consumer trends, Canada's food guide, information published by regulatory bodies like Health Canada, and the standards for different dietary lifestyles. A product may include several attributes classified according to their level of importance. Therefore, a food could be classified as vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO.

Transaction is subject to Antitrust Regulations. As of February 18, 2019, The Competition Bureau approved the transaction. As on December 20, 2018, the sale of five drug stores was completed in November 2018. The sale of rest five will be completed in first half of January 2019. As of February 18, 2019, The Competition Bureau has approved Familiprix Inc. and Corporation Groupe Pharmessor, an affiliate of McKesson Canada Corporation, as the purchasers of METRO Inc.’s interests relating to 10 retail pharmacies in Quebec. PwC Corporate Finance LLP acted as financial advisor for Metro Inc. Familiprix Inc. and Pharmacie Affiliee A Proxim completed the acquisition of 10 drugstores from Metro Inc. (TSX:MRU) during financial year ended September 28, 2019.
