The collaboration honours Burberry’s connection with the Royal Family, as Queen Elizabeth often chose the heritage brand for her outdoor pursuits during her reign, and the British brand was awarded a Royal Warrant in 1955.Taking inspiration from Queen Elizabeth’s deep-rooted connection to the outdoors and her countryside wardrobe, the capsule introduces a new holly green Burberry house check inspired by a tartan worn by the Queen, the Old Stewart Tartan. The new check features on the silk lining of a car coat, which has been crafted in Castleford, Yorkshire, from lightweight cotton gabardine in holly green, on a Scottish-woven cashmere scarf, and on the border of a silk twill scarf printed with a hand-painted depiction of Balmoral Castle, the Highland home of the Royal Family. Fabiola has served as a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees since her appointment on 10 March 2015. She is a former Chair of the Remuneration Committee and has also served as a member of the Audit Committee. Antoine joined the Board on 1 January 2021 and has been a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees since that date. Fabiola and Antoine will continue to serve as committee members until their retirement from the Board.

Moncler S.p.A. (BIT:MONC), the Italian designer known for its £2,000 puffer jackets, is said to be considering a bid for Burberry, which is struggling to turn its fortunes around after a string of recent profit warnings. Bernard Arnault, the head of the French luxury conglomerate LVMH, which recently took a stake in Moncler, is "keen" to see such a deal happen, trade magazine Miss Tweed reported. Burberry said it did not comment on speculation, while a spokesman for Moncler said the company did not comment on "unsubstantiated rumours".

Joshua replaces Jonathan Akeroyd who is stepping down and leaving the Company with immediate effect by mutual agreement with the Board. An American national, Joshua, 52, joins Burberry with a track record of driving transformative growth and value creation as CEO of global luxury, fashion, and retail businesses. Joshua was previously CEO of American fashion brands Michael Kors (2021-2022) and Coach where he also served as Brand President (2017-2020). Prior to this, at Neiman Marcus Group, he was President of Bergdorf Goodman for five years. From 2007 to 2012, Joshua was CEO of Jimmy Choo in London. Earlier, Joshua was Executive Vice President/Worldwide Merchandising and Sales at Yves Saint Laurent and Worldwide Director/Women's Ready To Wear at Gucci. Joshua will join Burberry on 17 July 2024 and be based at the Company's headquarters in London. He will lead the Executive Committee and report to Burberry Chair Gerry Murphy and the Board of Directors.
