mPhase Technologies, Inc. Announces Executive Changes mPhase Technologies, Inc. announced industry leader Michael Tessler as a member of the Company’s Pebble Advisory Board. The board will consist of independent advisors with specific skills and contacts in areas of importance for the ongoing development of the Pebble suite of mobility services. As a reminder, the Company is rebranding under the Pebble name, which has replaced the mPhase and mPower brands. Michael Tessler is a leading figure in the telecom industry, having co-founded and led NASDAQ-listed BroadSoft as CEO from its early start-up days to becoming the global market leader in Cloud Communications. Recognized as a pioneer in this industry, Michael grew the organization to almost 2,000 employees, serving customers in 80+ countries. At the time of its acquisition by Cisco in 2018 for $1.9 billion, BroadSoft had the widest reach of any open standards-based cloud calling platform, with approximately 50 million seats deployed, 19M+ business subscribers, and 600 service providers and channel partners around the world. Currently, Michael is a managing partner at True North Advisory, a firm focused on helping entrepreneurs scale their business, particularly in the Enterprise and Service Provider B2B industry. Names Operations Expert Ben Matheny as Chief Service and Mobilization Officer mPhase Technologies, Inc. announced the addition of operations expert Ben Matheny as Chief Service and Mobilization Officer (CSMO). This fills an essential technology role at a time when Pebble is launching an industry-first platform to reward and encourage consumer behavior that promotes sustainability. A Silicon Valley native with deep ties in the U.S. technology community, Ben transformed his early interest in entrepreneurship into two-decades of specialization in unicorn-destined startups. Most notably, he was one of the first employees at $17 billion software giant Palantir Technologies, where he served as Operations Manager for eight years during the company’s early growth phase. His experience with helping to scale other unicorn technology companies includes seven years as Senior Director of Operations at Addepar (private), a provider of technology for the wealth management industry; and most recently, as Head of Workplace at Aurora Innovation, Inc., a leader in self-driving technology that went public in 2021 with a market cap of $13 billion. Names Charles Martin to Advisory Board mPhase Technologies, Inc. announce AI and Machine Learning expert Charles Martin as a member of the Company's newly formed mPower Advisory Board. The board will consist of independent advisors with specific skills and contacts in areas of importance for the ongoing development of the mPower suite of mobility services.Charles Martin is considered a leading figure across multiple technology disciplines, with an established track recordin machine learning, deep learning, data science, and AI software development, complemented by extensive domain experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) for Search Relevance (as well as Text Generation and Quantitative Finance). Highly sought after in the software development field, he has personally developed and implemented machine learning (ML) systems at companies including Roche, France Telecom, GoDaddy, Aardvark (Google), eBay, eHow, Walmart, Barclays/BGI, and Blackrock. Much of his recent project work has been done under his advisory firm, Calculation Consulting, which he founded in 2010 to provide data science, machine learning, and deep learning solutions. He has also served as both a consultant and FTE distinguished engineer at GLG, a prestigious international consulting firm, where he developed AI methods for the search and recommendations platform. In addition to ongoing project and consulting work, Charles also provides scientific consulting to the Page family office at the Anthropocene Institute, advising on areas of nuclear and quantum technologies with an eye toward climate change. Appoints Tom Fore as Chief Operating Officer mPhase Technologies, Inc. announced the appointment of project development expert Tom Fore to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Consistent with the Company’s commitment to rapidly commercialize its mPower mobility services, Tom will oversee the administrative and operational functions of the Company as it expands its offering to include EV charging services at brick-and-mortar retailers. He will also continue to serve on the mPhase board. In addition to a varied background in entertainment and as a technology entrepreneur, Tom has particular expertise in real estate development, where he has been involved in the planning and construction of major building projects for more than two decades. Most recently, he has served as President of Tiderock Companies, a real estate services and holding company with particular expertise in mixed-use master development and Public Private Partnerships (“P3 Projects”). The COO position is one of several senior level management roles that will bring together a new team of seasoned industry experts to manage the growth and execution stage for mPhase. The board has set a goal to fill a majority of these key executive positions in the coming months. Appoints Chris Smith as Chief Technology Officer mPhase Technologies, Inc. announced the appointment of technology veteran Chris Smith to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This appointment is the latest step in the Company's commitment to rapidly commercialize its mPower mobility services. Chris, who founded and headed the Company's CloseComms/21:32 subsidiary, will take on an expanded role overseeing all technology projects related to the mPower mobility solutions platform. Chris has extensive international experience, with project work on multiple continents, including heading the leading digital signage solutions provider for the hospitality and tourism market in Poland. His multi-national experience also includes the CTO position at a European telecom provider responsible for deploying a government funded digital tourism information network. His work designing digital mobile app solutions extends to fan engagement programs for several UK Premiership football clubs, where he created award winning platforms and set up and ran outside broadcast and IP TV operations. In addition to these roles, he was also an infrastructure consultant for Sony UK in their consumer engagement sector. In terms of technology development, Chris's credentials include the creation of the only available triangulation platform to seamlessly download an app through Wi-Fi automatically to an end user's phone; using proximity marketing & location-based services to connect with and capture data. Collectively, his varied career includes multiple senior positions as CEO, CTO, and Technical Director working with major Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) clients.
