Botswana Minerals plc Provides an Update on Its AI Driven Exploration Programme over Licences 458 and 459 in Ngamiland, North West Botswana Botswana Minerals PLC provided an update on its AI driven exploration programme over Licences 458 and 459 in Ngamiland, north west Botswana. These licences are part of the Company's 7,074 km² land holding in the north eastern Damara Belt, a region known for its potential to host copper and other important minerals. The Company is progressing well with its fully funded programme, which aims to identify and rank the most promising exploration targets and identify the best copper prospect for drilling. A copper anomaly stretching approximately 9.5 km has been identified east of a major fault. A silver anomaly corridor of around 20 km has been mapped across a key fault zone, A core zone of lead-zinc mineralisation, about 2.4 km long, has been identified within a larger trend to the west, Several possible deposit types have been recognised, including Irish type (MVT), carbonate replacement, hydrothermal, and potential skarn systems. The next stage of work will include more detailed magnetic and gravity data analysis, additional geochemical testing, integration of hyperspectral satellite data, and a full review of historical drilling records. AI assisted analysis will be used to strengthen the geological interpretation. Results from Phase 1 are helping the Company move from a broad regional view to more clearly defined targets. Current work suggests there may be two separate mineralised zones: A structurally controlled copper-silver trend linked to a major fault, A western area more prospective for lead and zinc. At this stage, there are two possible explanations for the mineralisation: either it comes from one large system with different metals forming in zones, or from two separate but overlapping systems. Ongoing analysis is helping to refine these models and prioritise the best targets for follow-up work. 공시 • Mar 20

Botswana Diamonds PLC Snaps Up Diamond Acreage Following Artificial Intelligence Programme Botswana Diamonds PLC announced three Prospecting Licences applied for to secure key anomalies identified by recent Artificial Intelligence ("AI") programme, including the higher priority target; A fourth anomaly identified on an existing Botswana Diamonds licence close to KX36 - the Company's high grade diamond deposit. As announced on 12 December 2024, the Company's AI analysis has identified seven kimberlite anomalies. Botswana Diamonds already holds a prospecting licence over one of the targets and has now applied for licences containing three more. The variables used in the AI models were, inter alia: Mineral chemistry indicating diamond potential - Presence of slightly abraded stones indicating proximity to source; Proximity to major structures; Strong geophysical anomalies - Shallow Kalahari cover - Group 2 kimberlites generally having low magnetic signatures - Ilmenite poor The new licence application covers areas: North West of Mahalapye in the Serowe area; South West of Jwaneng close to the South African border; and North East of L Kerala in eastern Botswana. One particular anomaly, located South-West of Debswana's Jwaneng Mine, is of particular significance. The anomaly signatures are ideal, and the anomaly suggests more than one potential kimberlite. The fourth anomaly, which is close to KX36 and the previously identified twelve and six hectare gravity anomalies, is also of particular interest to the Company. Botswana Diamonds has long believed that KX36 is one of a kimberlite cluster. To date, no other diamondiferous kimberlites have been discovered in the surrounding area. This AI-identified anomaly may help confirm the existence of a kimberlites around KX36. If kimberlites containing diamonds are found, they should greatly enhance the commercial viability of the KX36 discovery. Larger projects justify infrastructure in remoter locations. In tandem with this diamond work, the AI models continue to trawl through the databases looking for gold, copper and lead zinc opportunities. Initial indications are also positive. 공시 • Jan 16

Botswana Diamonds plc to Embark on Follow-Up Ground Geophysics on Four Anomalies in the Kalahari Contiguous with the Company's KX36 Project Botswana Diamonds plc announced it is about to embark on follow-up ground geophysics on four anomalies that were identified in the Kalahari contiguous with the Company's KX36 project. They were identified by the heavy mineral train flowing from KX36 where it is thought likely that there are undiscovered buried kimberlites in the vicinity of KX36 as kimberlites generally occur in clusters and not in isolation. The KX36 project is a 3.5 Ha kimberlite pipe in the Kalahari. The pipe has resources of 17.9Mt at 35 carats per hundred tonnes ("cpht") (indicated) and 6.7Mt at 36 cpht (inferred) at $65/ct. The modelled grade range is 57-76 cpht at an estimated diamond value of up to $107/ct. Two anomalies identified in PL224/2007 and a further two identified in PL169/2019 will be followed-up with Gravity and Time Domain Electromagnetic Methods following rigorous reprocessing of aeromagnetic data. The subtle aeromagnetic anomalies proven by ground magnetics will be followed up with the gravity and Time Domain electromagnetic method ("TEMFAST") and accordingly modelled (with integrated magnetics, TEMFAST and gravity modelling) to further verify the shapes and sizes of the targets prior to designing a drill programme. All the targets are within a 6 km radius of KX36 kimberlite pipe and they may be key additions to the existing resources. The new kimberlites targets have great potential to upgrade the existing resources in the area, including at the Ghaghoo Mine, which is currently under care and maintenance and only 60 km away from the KX36 project. 공시 • Nov 29

Botswana Diamonds plc Announces Results from Its Latest Drilling Campaign on Its Thorny River Diamond Project in South Africa Botswana Diamonds plc announced results from its latest drilling campaign on its Thorny River diamond project in South Africa. The objective of this drilling campaign was to expand the mineable kimberlite for the purpose of mine planning. Twelve reverse circulation holes over five targets were drilled for a total of 536m. Analysis of raw data shows that two of the targets resulted in the discovery of new sub-surface blows which will be added to the inventory, whilst one shows promise (having produced kimberlitic indicators) but needs further definition work and the remaining two targets do not merit further work. The in-hole kimberlite intersections totalled 52 metres, the longest being a vertical intersection of 22m. The two additional blows are on-strike and 200m and 700m east from the River and River Extension blows. The next steps are to finalise a mining plan and to apply for a mining permit. A further announcement will be made in due course. 공시 • Jul 18

Botswana Diamonds plc Announces Geophysics Identifies Anomalies Indicative of Kimberlite Pipes Botswana Diamonds announced the results of a ground geophysics survey on its Sekaka Diamonds Pty Ltd. Prospecting Licenses in Botswana. High interest anomalies indicative of kimberlite pipes discovered in the vicinity of the KX36 diamond discovery. Following a detailed review of aeromagnetic data on Sekaka licences PL069/2019 and PL224/2007 four high interest anomalies were identified within a six-kilometre radius of the existing Botswana Diamond KX36 discovery in the Central Kalahari of Botswana. The anomalies are magnetic highs along fault structures and are typical of occurrences of kimberlite pipes in the area. A recent ground follow-up work with ground magnetic surveys confirmed these encouraging anomalies. The nest steps are gravity modelling and soil sampling. A drill programme will be put in place. The Company is involved in three diamond exploration companies in Botswana: the 100% owned Sunland Minerals Pty Ltd. and 100% owned Sekaka Diamonds Pty Ltd. and a minority stake in the Maibwe joint venture. Botswana Diamonds Announces Results of Conceptual Open Pit Mine Optimisation Evaluation on River Blow on its Thorny River Property in South Africa Botswana Diamonds announced the results of a conceptual open pit mine optimisation evaluation on the River Blow on its Thorny River property in South Africa. The Evaluation was completed by South African-based independent mining advisory consultants, Practara (Pty) Ltd, together with modelling input from ABGM Pty Limited of Australia. Conceptual open pit mine plan models were developed under a number of scenarios to assess the open pit mining potential of the River and River Extension blows. The models used the results of several drilling programmes. Grade and diamond value data was based on previous microdiamond and bulk sampling data as well as production results from the adjacent Klipspringer mine and the Technical Economic and Evaluation Report (TEE Report) on the Thorny River Project as announced in June 2018 (and which was a pre-scoping study analysis). Cost data was benchmarked against similar operations. Shareholders should note that the Evaluation is preliminary in nature and was prepared from drilling and geophysical modelling results and on which no resource has yet been declared. The Evaluation is purely conceptual and indicative of what could potentially be considered for more detailed work. The Evaluation is based on pre-tax illustrative estimates of cashflow before provision of capital expenditure or pre-production costs and which have not yet been determined. The objective of the Evaluation was to identify the best open pit mining option and considered low, medium, and high-cost scenarios for mining. The illustrative results of the medium-cost scenario in the Evaluation at a mid-range diamond value of $170/ct and a discount rate of 10%. Grade and diamond values are stated at a bottom cut-off of +1mm. The TEE stated that the kimberlite exploration target at Thorny River area has a grade of between 46 and 74 cpht and diamond value of between $120-220/ct at a bottom cut off of +1mm. For the purposes of the Evaluation, a lower grade of 20 cpht was also considered. The River medium-cost scenario mining model shows positive operational cash flow net present values for potential future open pit exploitation options at a conceptual level. Any open pit that is formed on the basis of a low revenue assumption (i.e. at revenue factors less than 80%) coupled with the maximum open pit size are indicated to be commercial. Additional survey work and in particular geological work to better understand the level of dilution is required to further optimise these conceptual mine models. In the high-cost scenario, an average grade recovery of only 20 cpht would not be economic. The scenarios examined exclude any benefit of the Company's new contiguous targets which were identified through a recent ground geophysics exercise and are indicative of additional kimberlite blows. Drilling of these targets has the potential to add volumes and impetus to a hub and spoke mining model and this is scheduled for the dry Southern African winter season. Following this, the mine plan will be updated, and the capital expenditure assessed. Subsequently, it is expected that mine permitting will then be sought. 공시 • Jan 12
Botswana Diamonds Completes Preliminary Kimberlite Assessment on its Thorny River Diamond Prospect in South Africa Botswana Diamonds plc announced that a preliminary kimberlite assessment has been completed on its Thorny River diamond prospect in South Africa. The projected volume of kimberlitic material in the River, River Extension and in the immediate area exceeds previous estimates and is now believed to be circa 2 million tonnes. For reference, the nearby former De Beers /SouthernEra Marsfontein mined volume was in the order of 1 million tonnes. The volume estimate was determined by the Company based on an external volumetric assessment and includes only areas on strike to drilling to date. Botswana Diamonds is studying mining options for the kimberlite complex. No assessment of potential diamond grade has been made at this stage. The analysis considered all available drill-hole data, in addition to ground gravity, electromagnetic and magnetic data, and used an industry standard process of forward modelling and inversion. This technique allows all the available data to be used to create the best fit geological model and is particularly useful where there is complex geology, such as the Thorny River area. 공시 • Aug 24

Botswana Diamonds plc Announces Thorny River Discovery Advances Toward Resource Assessment Model of New Kimberlites Volumes Botswana Diamonds plc updated the three-dimensional model of the recent kimberlite discovery on South Africa's Thorny River diamond project. Following the recently announced discovery of a second kimberlite blow at Thorny River, independent specialists aggregated all the geophysical and drilling data to model the potential kimberlite volume of the two adjacent blows and the connecting kimberlite. The updated model estimates a range for the two blows of between 300,000 to 600,000 tonnes in aggregate, which is up to a three-fold increase in the volume following the modelling of the first blow. Sample processing results from May 2021 programme is expected to be available by the end of July, which will determine geological and grade continuity. The Company's expectation based on the historical grade of Thorny River /Marfontain dykes is 60 carats per hundred tonnes (cpht). Immediately following this, the company plan to drill the potential mineralisation between the two kimberlite blows to test belief that the two blows potentially join. This will also refine estimate of volumes. 공시 • May 05
Botswana Diamonds plc Announces Discovery of New, Kimberlite Blow at Thorny River Botswana Diamonds plc announced discovery of new, kimberlite blow at thorny river. Highlights: The new blow (swell in the kimberlite dyke) is about the same size as the River Blow discovered at Thorny River in November 2020; A doubling of the planned six holes to twelve took the discovery close to the River discovery; The widest kimberlite intersected was 18 metres; The Board expects that further drilling should join the two discoveries into one continuous blow. Details: Botswana Diamonds, the AIM and BSE listed diamond explorer, reports completion of a 12-hole, 558m reverse circulation drilling programme on its Thorny River property in South Africa. This was initially announced on 15 April 2021 as one which would comprise 6-holes, but was expanded due to positive results, in particular the extent of kimberlite encountered. A total of 71 metres of kimberlite was intersected in the 12 holes, with an additional 19 metres of kimberlitic breccia. The widest kimberlite down-the-hole intersection was 18 metres. The drilling programme outlined a significant swell on the kimberlite dyke with a minimum strike length of 75 metres and significantly the results are consistent with those of the contiguous River Blow which was drilled in November 2020. The integration of these two bodies is yet to be confirmed due to restricted drilling access between the two areas, which are less than 100 metres apart. The next step is to integrate the results of the latest drilling programme into previous drilling and ground geophysics campaigns and to develop a three-dimensional model of the two discoveries. This is expected to be complete by the end of May. Following this, samples from the drill chips which have been taken for diamond recovery and kimberlitic mineral content will be analysed and this is expected to be complete by mid-July. Based on the results from these two workstreams, further resource definition work will be planned. For context, the discoveries at Thorny River are within the Zebediela kimberlite field. This field chiefly consists of a series of consistently diamondiferous kimberlite dykes with a strike length of 20-km. On this dyke, there are number of blows being Kudu, Sugarbird, Sugarbird Pass (all part of the Klipspringer diamond mine) and Marsfontein. The four blows have been mined-out, with the latter being mined by a De Beers /SouthernEra joint venture with a payback of three and a half days. Marsfontein is 3.5 km west and on strike from the Company's discoveries. The objective of the exploration programme is to discover additional blows. 공시 • Feb 18

Botswana Diamonds plc Announces Model of Kimberlite Pipe At Thorny River Botswana Diamonds presented a three-dimensional model of the newly discovered kimberlite pipe on Thorny River. A high-resolution ground gravity survey conducted during October 2020 detected an enlarged anomaly along the known kimberlite fissure. This anomaly was subsequently followed up by Reverse Circulation ('RC') drilling and confirmed as a kimberlite pipe. Data from the RC holes was reconciled with the ground gravity data to construct a three-dimensional model of the kimberlite pipe. The best fit model showed an East - West trending body gently dipping to the east with a surface expression of 80 x 40m. This work is significant in providing a maiden three-dimensional model for the kimberlite within the Thorny River project which will enable precision planning of further drill holes and calculation of volumes. The next step comprises drilling core holes to further confine the geological boundaries and microdiamond sampling to determine a first pass diamond grade estimate of the body. Petrographic studies will be used to confirm the kimberlite types. Geological modelling is an ongoing and iterative process with every piece of new work enhancing and increasing confidence in the model. Precision work on the gravity data also discovered an additional anomaly to the east, which could be an extension of the kimberlite pipe and will be drilled in the New Year. 공시 • Dec 15

Botswana Diamonds PLC Announces Updates on Thorny River and Marsfontein Botswana Diamonds announced that drilling has commenced on its Thorny River and Marsfontein project areas in South Africa. The multi-hole drilling programme has commenced on four target areas identified as high interest in the recent detailed ground geophysics survey. These target areas include a potential kimberlite "blow" of up to 0.25Ha in extent, and other expansions in the widths (or "swells") of the dyke system of up to 10m (as opposed to the average 1m). The most widely known blow in the project area is Marsfontein, which was 0.4Ha. Marsfontein was mined by De Beers and SouthernEra and it achieved a return of development capital in under four days. The dyke system, which extends for 18km over Thorny River from Klipspringer Mine in the west through Marsfontein to Doornrivier in the east, has been demonstrated as having consistent geology and economics. The ground geophysics and drilling programmes are focused on identifying kimberlite volumes to support further development of the property. 공시 • Nov 09
Botswana Diamonds PLC Provides Exploration Update Botswana Diamonds PLC provided an update on the latest exploration programme conducted on the Marsfontein and Thorny River diamond properties. This has identified a number of drillable targets. A mulithole drilling programme is expected to begin within two weeks. A number of geophysical techniques and technologies were applied including gravity, electromagnetics, magnetics and ground penetrating radar. Out of the ten areas surveyed, the findings have identified four target areas including a potential blow of up to 0.25Ha and swells in the kimberlite dyke system of up to 10m. 공시 • Oct 13
Botswana Diamonds plc Commences Precision Geophysics to Zero-In on Drill Targets Botswana Diamonds plc announced that it has commenced a precision ground geophysics programme to zero-in on potential kimberlite pipes on the prospective Marsfontein and Thorny River properties. The company is focusing on four high-potential targets to finalise early drilling: The largest and most prospective of the anomalies generated by UK group Subterrane's recent detailed assessment. Geophysics will confirm potential targets for November drilling. An assessment by Canadian group Terramodelling Services identified a further anomaly where geophysics will also confirm a target for November drilling. New Marsfontein anomalies (M9 and M17) which were identified by reviewing historic data. The company's own detailed geophysical survey is required to accurately geo-reference the targets for drilling in November. Two thick intersections on Frischgewaagt suggest multiple kimberlite 'blows'. The company is also undertaking a detailed ground geophysical survey over the Marsfontein alluvial deposit, following an independent assessment of the potential for diamondiferous alluvial deposits by Professor Tania Marshall, the current Chairperson of the SamCode Standards Committee and a recognised expert in the geology and assessment of diamondiferous alluvial deposits. A combination of ground gravity, electromagnetic and magnetic surveys will be undertaken by Geofocus, a leading geophysical consultancy led by Bjorn Harvemann, previously Head of Exploration Geophysics at De Beers. EM and magnetics have previously been used to delineate kimberlite dykes, which were later confirmed by drilling. The detailed ground gravity survey specifically focuses on delineating kimberlite pipes. Following the geophysical survey, which should take 6 weeks, a drilling campaign is planned in November to confirm the new kimberlite targets. 공시 • Jul 21
