Mace Security International, Inc. Announces the Resignation of Margaret D. Jordan from Board of Directors Mace Security International, Inc. announced that Margaret D. Jordan resigned from its Board of Directors, effective February 19, 2024. Ms. Jordan reported that the responsibilities and time commitment required as a Director exceeded what had been presented when she joined the Board as well as exceeding the time she was able to provide relative to the Director compensation available from the Company. Ms. Jordan also expressed a lack of confidence in the Company's executive and Board leadership. Appoints Kunal Mehta as Its New Head of Digital Marketing Mace Security International, Inc. announced the appointment of Kunal Mehta as its new Head of Digital Marketing. In this role, Mr. Mehta will be responsible for overseeing the Company's entire digital marketing strategy and direct-to-consumer growth strategies. With a strong track record of leadership and a background in revenue growth, marketing, and digital optimization, Mr. Mehta brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Mr. Mehta's appointment marks a significant milestone for Mace® as it seeks to expand its digital presence in a more aggressive manner.Mr. Mehta has held previous executive roles including CEO of Punchey, Inc., a privately held VC-backed payment business servicing small and medium enterprises primarily in the automotive industry. He has held leadership positions at Hell's Creative, named one of the nation's leading digital advertising agencies, and most recently served as co-founder and lead investment analyst at Montana Advisors, LTD, a private investment vehicle seeking to increase shareholder value through active engagement. Mace Security International, Inc. Appoints Margaret Jordan as Board of Director Mace Security International, Inc. Board of Directors is also announced the appointment of Margaret Jordan, a Director of Business Development at KIKO Company, to its Board of Directors on October 11, 2022. Ms. Jordan will serve on the Board's Governance Committee. Margaret earned her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law and her M.S. in Higher Education Administration and B.A. in English Literature from the University of Akron. Margaret spent more than a decade working in Student Affairs at The University of Akron. During that time, she worked with the University of Akron Police Department and City of Akron Police on campus safety initiatives. She is passionate about empowering individuals to protect themselves to avoid becoming crime victims. Ms. Jordan currently serves on the Board for the Association for Corporate Growth ("ACG") and is the past chair of ACG's Women in Transactions Committee. She was appointed by the Governor of the State of Ohio as a student member of the Board of Trustees for The University of Akron. She is a graduate of the Leadership Akron Signature Program and President of Class 31. She is an honorary director for Goodwill Industries of Akron, where she served nine years as board member. Mace Security International, Inc. Appoints Richard A. Barone to Board of Directors Mace Security International, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors appointed Richard A. Barone to the Board of Directors effective June 27, 2022 to fill a recent vacancy and is nominated for re-election at the Company's 2022 Annual Shareholders Meeting in August. Mr. Barone will serve on all Board Committees. The Board of Directors previously determined that all Board members would serve on all Board Committees after two Board vacancies occurred in early 2022. Richard A. Barone, age 80, was previously Chairman of Mace Security International, Inc. from 2009 through 2018. Currently, he chairs the Archeagle Family Office, which includes both the Archeagle Foundation, as well as the Richard A. Barone Foundation. He is emeritus Director for the Cleveland State University Foundation, where he previously served as its Chairman, as well as a member of the University's Board of Trustees. In addition, he currently serves as a director of the Brentwood Foundation, a division of the Cleveland Clinic. In the past, Mr. Barone has held directorships in numerous charitable organizations, as well as public and private corporations. Professionally, Mr. Barone was the founder and Chairman of the Maxus Investment Group, which became part of Fifth Third Bank in 2001. In 2002, Mr. Barone founded Ancora Advisors, where he served as its Chairman until 2014. Most recently, Mr. Barone is the founder and Chairman of the International Museum of American Porcelain Art (MAPA). As of June 27, 2022, Mr. Barone held 1,037,500 shares of MACE and 100,000 vested options to purchase common stock of the Company. He will be eligible to receive the same compensation as other members of the Company's Board of Directors.
