The acquisition will require customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2020. The acquisition is expected to be EPS accretive as of 2022.

Fredon Security’s annual sales were AUD 37 million in the financial year ending June 30, 2019. Approximately 110 employees located across Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney will join Securitas along with Fredon Security Managing Director, Danny Berkovic. The acquisition is expected to close in January 2020. Lawrence Mendes of Baker & McKenzie acted as legal advisor for Securitas. Securitas AB (OM:SECU B) completed the acquisition of Fredon Security from Fredon Industries Pty Ltd. on January 9, 2020.
