Introduces Thermadite Liquid Cold Plates for High-Power Compute ApplicationsCoherent Corp. announced the launch of Thermadite 800 Liquid Cold Plates (LCP) for next-generation AI accelerator cooling. Thermadite 800 delivers thermal conductivity of 800W/(m·K) - approximately twice that of copper - combined with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high dimensional stability. Together, these properties reduce chip temperatures through superior heat spreading and low-resistance thermal interfaces. In high heat flux AI accelerator environments, Thermadite 800 LCPs can reduce chip temperatures by more than 15°C compared to conventional copper cold plates. The material also offers roughly 60% lower density than copper, enabling high-performance cooling in mass-sensitive systems. Thermadite is formed by integrating diamond into the SiC matrix creating a stiff, stable, and highly thermal conductive material. The properties of Thermadite 800 provide a platform that supports aggressive liquid cooling without the warpage, stress, or reliability concerns associated with metal and metal-diamond cold plates. LCPs built with Thermadite 800 can include complex internal microchannel architectures optimized to real chip heat maps. These designs focus cooling on localized hot spots, minimizing pressure drop and coolant usage, enabling more efficient heat removal and reducing overall cooling system operating cost. Thermadite 800 LCPs leverage Coherent’s vertically integrated materials development, precision fabrication, and high-volume manufacturing capabilities. Attendees of OFC 2026 are invited to visit Coherent at Booth 1401 to learn more about these high-power uncooled pump lasers and the company’s comprehensive optical component portfolio.
お知らせ • Mar 07Coherent Corp. Announces General Availability of Dual-Laser Qsfp28-Dco Module for Single Fiber TransmissionCoherent Corp. announced the general availability of the industry’s first dual-laser QSFP28-DCO module designed to enable bi-directional 100G coherent transmission over a single working fiber. The new module allows network operators to deploy bi-directional 100G coherent links over a single fiber, an essential capability for routes where fiber availability is limited or costly to expand. By enabling multiple 100G services on existing infrastructure, customers can significantly increase network capacity, extend reach up to 300km, and achieve up to a 10x capacity upgrade compared to legacy 10G bi-directional links. The solution allows service providers to maximize fiber plant utilization while maintaining operational simplicity and compatibility with deployed equipment. The dual-laser QSFP28-DCO is generally available beginning in March 2026. The solution leverages the same proven technology platform used in Coherent’s single-laser QSFP28-DCO modules, which have been successfully deployed worldwide for the past two years.
お知らせ • Mar 06Coherent Corp. Examples of Thermadite 800 LCPs will be featured at the SEMI-THERM Symposium & Exposition 2026 and the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exhibition (OFC) 2026.
お知らせ • Mar 05+ 1 more updateCoherent Corp. Launches 224Gbps Quad-Channel Transimpedance Amplifier For Next-Generation Optical TransceiversCoherent Corp. announced the launch of its CHR1074 224Gbps quad-channel transimpedance amplifier (TIA) designed to power next-generation 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers. Engineered for high-performance AI and cloud infrastructure, the CHR1074 combines ultra-fast link recovery with intelligent power management to improve efficiency and reduce latency in increasingly dynamic data center environments. As hyperscale networks adopt burst-mode traffic and advanced power-saving states, conventional TIAs can introduce delays when links transition from idle to active operation. The CHR1074 addresses this challenge with a fast-settling architecture capable of restoring full performance within 50 nanoseconds - dramatically improving responsiveness compared to traditional solutions. Delivering high signal integrity, low noise, and optimized power consumption in a compact form factor, the device enables system designers to scale bandwidth while maintaining energy efficiency. Samples of the CHR1074 are available now, with general availability expected to begin at the end of next quarter. Attendees of OFC 2026 are invited to visit Coherent at Booth 1401 to learn more about the CHR1074 and the company’s expanding portfolio of high-speed optical interconnect solutions.
