The proceeds from this divestiture will allow IBL Ltd to reduce its debt and be in a better position to manage and grow its investment portfolio in order to continue to create value for its shareholders. As of July 23, 2025, IBL Ltd completed the disposal of a 22.40%, out of its total 30.29% equity stake in AfrAsia Bank Limited. As a result, IBL will retain a 7.89% equity stake in ABL alongside Access Bank UK Limited. For the period ending June 30, 2024, AfrAsia Bank Limited reported Net Profit After Tax of $152.4 million.
