お知らせ • Feb 02Q-Free Signs Tolling Contract in SwedenThe Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) has signed a design and build contract with Q-Free to upgrade the Stockholm congestion tax system. The contract includes 10 years of service and maintenance and will have a value of at least NOK 130 million. The majority of the system deployment revenues is expected to materialize in 2021 and 2022. The Stockholm congestion tax system was originally delivered by Q-Free in 2005. For 15 years it has contributed to reduced congestion, improved air quality, and a modernization of road infrastructure in Stockholm. It will now be replaced with new and improved Q-Free technology including a new innovative camera platform and updated Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR/ANPR) software solutions.

The Q-Free Intrada® Insight automated license plate reading (ALPR) application delivers predictable 24/7-performance with high accuracy automated machine vision and integrated human review plate read resulting in low-error rate plate reading for video toll revenue collection. The system applies advanced network learning and machine image processing technologies along with innovative manual image review processes to efficiently automate plate reads - especially complex U.S. license plates - across any size toll network. The system improves revenue collection, creates operating cost efficiencies, and reduces errors - in particular with respect to toll client billing errors.
