Sleep Cycle Announces the Rollout of Sleep Stages Sleep Cycle announced the rollout of Sleep Stages, a groundbreaking new technology that allows users to measure their sleep stages and how long they spend in the dream stage each night. This technology is the first to combine breathing patterns and movement sounds, with only a smartphone, to accurately identify sleep stages such as REM sleep (the phase where most dreaming occurs), light sleep, and deep sleep, offering users a deeper understanding of their sleep patterns. According to the instructions for the nominating committee at Sleep Cycle that were resolved at the Annual General Meeting on 11 april 2024, the nominating committee shall, in addition to the Chairman of the Board, consist of representatives from the three largest shareholders registered as per August 31 of the year that falls before the Annual General Meeting. Following the confirmation of the nominating committee, the Chairman of the Board has summoned the nominating committee for its first meeting. The nominating committee consists of the following representatives: Martin Anthonsen, appointed by MCGA AB and H265 AB, who respectively represent 21.5% of the votes and together represent 42.9% of the votes. Peter Alsterberg will join Sleep Cycle as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), a newly established position. Additionally, Chief Product Officer, Samuel Cyprian, and Chief HR Officer, Cecilia Mikkov, have declined to move to Gothenburg HQ and have decided to leave Sleep Cycle. Samuel Cyprian and Cecilia Mikkov have declined to relocate to the Gothenburg HQ and will therefore step down from Sleep Cycle on April 30, 2024. They will both remain in external advisory roles until August 1, 2024. The process of hiring successors will begin immediately. Peter Alsterberg has 20 years of experience from management and strategy consulting across a range of industries and global markets. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, Sweden, Denmark & Finland at Frog (part of Capgemini Invent). Other positions have included Vice President at Capgemini Invent and Business advisor and Project manager at Nordea. Sleep Cycle AB (Publ) Announces CEO Changes In agreement with the company's board, Carl Johan Hederoth steps down as CEO of Sleep Cycle AB (publ). The board has decided to appoint Erik Jivmark as the new CEO of Sleep Cycle as of 1 November 2023. Erik Jivmark has extensive international experience from leading positions within digital products and services. Erik comes from the role as CEO of Volvo Car Mobility AB and leading the Volvo Cars Stockholm Tech Hub. Sleep Cycle Launches ‘Sleep Goal’ in iOS to Help Users Schedule Better Sleep Sleep Cycle announced the launch of ‘Sleep Goal’ – a new feature in iOS that helps users schedule their wake-up time and bedtime to further improve their sleep routine by setting a weekly sleep goal. Sleep irregularity has been linked to a 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease, greater obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
