With stage 4 restrictions applying to metropolitan Melbourne, all 28 Beacon Lighting Melbourne metropolitan stores will close temporarily to in-store retail customers from 11.59pm, August 5, 2020 for a period of six weeks. As an integral supplier to the trade and residential construction industry, all Beacon Lighting Melbourne metropolitan stores will remain open to provide in-store services to its trade customers. The Beacon Design Studio Lighting Designers will continue to organise consultations via Zoom. With stage 3 restrictions in effect in regional Victoria, all 4 Victorian regional Beacon Lighting stores remain open and continue to trade as normal while diligently following government guidelines and stringent safety measures. All Beacon Lighting retail customers and trade customers can continue shopping online with home delivery and contact-free Click & Collect service from stores. In addition to retail stores, Beacon Lighting has several other businesses operating in the Melbourne metro region that will be impacted in varying degrees. Following a variety of marketing experiences in Sydney, London and Melbourne (including four years in marketing with the Spotlight Group), Prue Robinson joined the Group in 2006 as the Marketing Manager. Prue was promoted to National Marketing Manager in 2007 and then to Marketing Director in 2014. Prue's responsibilities have included developing the marketing, e-commerce and trade loyalty strategies for the Group, including the Beacon Lighting brand identity and market position, and leadership of the in-house team. Effective 1 December 2023, Prue Robinson was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. Prue is currently a Director of the Large Format Property Fund Group and holds a Bachelor of Business (Management and Marketing). Daniel Palumbo joined Beacon Lighting as an adviser to the Board of Directors in 2022. Prior to joining Beacon Lighting, Daniel had a career with the Reece Group including being a member of the Senior Leadership Team demonstrating capability in improving financial performance, operational excellence, customer growth and leadership. With stage 4 restrictions applying to metropolitan Melbourne, all 28 Beacon Lighting Melbourne metropolitan stores will close temporarily to in-store retail customers from 11.59pm, August 5, 2020 for a period of six weeks. As an integral supplier to the trade and residential construction industry, all Beacon Lighting Melbourne metropolitan stores will remain open to provide in-store services to its trade customers. The Beacon Design Studio Lighting Designers will continue to organise consultations via Zoom. With stage 3 restrictions in effect in regional Victoria, all 4 Victorian regional Beacon Lighting stores remain open and continue to trade as normal while diligently following government guidelines and stringent safety measures. All Beacon Lighting retail customers and trade customers can continue shopping online with home delivery and contact-free Click & Collect service from stores. In addition to retail stores, Beacon Lighting has several other businesses operating in the Melbourne metro region that will be impacted in varying degrees. The Derrimut Distribution Centre will continue to operate to enable stores to fulfill online and commercial orders, but with an elevated COVID-safe plan and changed workforce conditions. Beacon Lighting Commercial will continue to operate from its Mitcham site to service trade and volume residential builders.
