Protean Energy Limited Announces Gwesan Vanadium Project Soil Sampling Results Protean Energy Ltd. announced the results of the soil sampling undertaken at its Gwesan Vanadium Project in South Korea and completed on 1 October 2021. The soil sampling and assaying was conducted to further investigate the mineralization potential of Gwesan 137 prospect. The mineralization of Gwesan Vanadium Project is a strata-bound black shale type embedded in the graphitic slate of Guryongsan formation. The mineralization potential of Protean's tenement (Gwesan 137) belongs to south-west part of Hansung orebody with general NE trending and remains open toward adjacent tenement of Gwesan 127. The results relating to this soil sampling program are as follows: A total of 400 samples including duplicate and quality assurance quality control (QAQC) samples were submitted to the ALS laboratory in Perth for multi-commodity analyses by ICP-MS/AES. The results of ICP analyses from soil samples have highlighted 25 mineralized intercepts reported by V >500ppm and/or U >100ppm basis, which comprise 8 samples of Gwesan 137 and 17 samples of Gwesan 127. In Gwesan 137, the mineralized intercepts from soil samples are mainly located at Line 13 to Line 16 adjacent to the Hansung orebody. No mineralized evidence is currently observed in the other sample grid lines. ICP results in Protean's tenement (Gwesan 137) have not verified the continuity of mineralization along NE trending on the surface geochemical anomalies from soil samples. In Gwesan 127 tenement, significant mineralized intercepts are identified from soil samples of three historical orebodies of Dukpyung, Jungdaejon and Hansung. ICP results from soil samples confirm that Gwesan 127 is considered the main target of the mineralization potential. お知らせ • Jul 15
Protean Energy Limited Provides Update on Its Gwesan Vanadium Project in South Korea Protean Energy Limited provided an update on its Gwesan Vanadium Project in South Korea, following the preliminary exploration of Phases 1 and 2, announced 5 May 2021, which were designed to identify the vanadium potential of Gwesan deposit through the historical data review and a geological survey, which was not limited to Proteans tenements. To recap, the Gwesan vanadium deposit is divided into four prospects; Dukpyung Anticline East Limb (DAEL), Dukpyung Anticline West Limb (DAWL), North and South. The results relating to exploration target obtained by the preliminary exploration were as follows: The prospects of deposit are divided into 4 regions, and the priority of potential target is estimated in the following order as DAWL > DAEL > North > South. The current tenement of Protean (Gwesan 137) belongs to DAWL prospect. The mineralization of DAWL prospect was investigated in 1970s by the Korea Institute of Energy and Resources (KIER) with 88 drill-holes (13,163 m) targeting the graphitic slate of Guryongsan formation. The exploration potential of DAWL prospect was historically identified as 3 ore-zones of Dukpyung, Jungdaejon and Hansung. The geological survey confirmed these orebodies to have uranium and vanadium potential through this preliminary exploration, and especially the Dukyung orebody, which is considered to be repeated about 8 times due to tightly developed thrust imbricates at Gwesan 127. The mineralization potential of Protean's tenement (Gwesan 137) remains open toward north-east along the strike, and the main potential is located at the adjacent tenement (Gwesan 127). Unfortunately, Protean was notified the historical drill cores from the DAWL prospect mineralization investigation in 1970's, were destroyed by the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM, the former KIER) in 2020 and as a result, will not provide sufficient data for a resource estimate in accordance with the JORC Code (2012). PHASE 3 - SOIL SAMPLING PROGRAM -
Protean has engaged its Korean geological consultants, GeoGeny Consultants Group Inc. (GeoGeny), to commence planning a soil sampling program, of approximately 500 soil samples on the Gwesan 137 prospect. Protean will advise shareholders once the soil sampling program design is finalized and the soil sampling program commences. Executive Departure • Mar 17

Protean Energy Limited Provides Update on Gwesan Vanadium Project Exploration Protean Energy Ltd. announced that in-country independent consulting group GeoGeny Consultants Group Inc. (Geogeny) has commenced phases 1 and 2 of Proteans anticipated seven phase exploration programme at its Gwesan Vanadium Project in South Korea. Geogeny will undertake the following exploration activities with the aim of identifying vanadium prospectivity on the Gwesan Vanadium Project tenement in South Korea: Phase 1: A site visit, review of project history and existing reports, review of geology and mineralisation, and preparation of exploration plan; and Phase 2: A geological survey to gain a field-based understanding of project's geology and mineralisation. The geological field reconnaissance will focus on locating structural trends of mineralisation and identifying soil sampling targets. Subject to requisite permitting, the Company anticipates commencement of phase three, a field reconnaissance programme consisting of multi-commodity soil sampling campaign to occur in Second Quarter 2021. The Geology in the Okcheon belt consists of meta-sedimentary sequence that is composed of three formations including the Wunkyori, Hwajeonri and Guryongsan. The stratigraphical sequence within the belt at the Gqesan project comprises a dark grey Phyllite, followed by the black shale (ore zone) and a fine grained sandstone. The historical drilling at the Gqeusan project has intercepted black shale along a 10km strike. The mineralised black shale has been under-targeted in the past and drilling completed in 2013 has shown and confirmed the potential for Vanadium mineralisation hosted by the black shale. Korea Resources Corporation (KORES) previously completed three drill holes targeting the mineralised black shale at Gwesan in order to verify the mineralisation zone in the area. The three drill holes were completed to a down hole depth of 100m each and several ore zones were intercepted from 3m to up to 11m wide in each drill hole. The best intercept of 0.35% V2O5 in the first hole provides encouraging results. The project is in its exploration stage and more drilling will be required to define the mineralisation zones in the area. The mineralisation remains open at depth and along the 10km strike and the Company confirms it is not aware of any new information or data that materially affects the information included in this announcement and all material assumptions and technical parameters have not materially changed. お知らせ • Jan 08
