Simon Hathway to Step Down as Independent Non-Executive Director of TheWorks.co.uk plc Early January 2026 TheWorks.co.uk plc notes the announcement by B&M European Value Retail S.A. and confirmed that Simon Hathway has informed the Board of his intention to step down from his role as Independent Non-Executive Director in early January 2026, to take on a full time Executive Director role at B&M. Simon joined the Board of The Works on 1 November 2024 and is currently Chair of the Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit and Nomination Committees. In taking on this new position, Simon will no longer have the capacity to continue with his Non-Executive Directorship or his other advisory commitments. BARR announced that Nick Wharton, Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at A.G. BARR, has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of TheWorks.co.uk plc with effect from 1 August 2025. As part of the Board's succession planning, Nick will replace Harry Morley who, as previously announced, intends to step down as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director following the upcoming AGM.
