Pathward Plays Key Role in Belfry and Clair’s New On-Demand Pay Launch Belfry has launched On-Demand Pay, an earned wage access benefit that lets security officers tap a portion of their earned wages before payday.
The program is powered by financial technology provider Clair, with all wage advances originated by Clair's banking partner Pathward®, N.A.
On-Demand Pay is bundled into every Belfry subscription at no extra cost, requires no payroll changes, and employers are not responsible for funding advances.
This partnership highlights how Pathward continues to be used as a banking backbone for third-party fintech offerings, especially in earned wage access products.
Investors may want to pay attention to how Pathward’s role as an originating bank in arrangements like this relates to fee income potential and any associated credit, compliance or concentration risks tied to fintech partners. Anuncio • May 08
7Shifts Announces Launch of On-Demand Pay for Tips Product 7shifts announced the launch of On-Demand Pay for Tips, a new product powered by Clair. The integrated solution allows restaurant employees to access a portion of their earned tips shortly after a shift, rather than waiting for a traditional pay cycle. On-Demand Pay for Tips will be fully embedded into the 7shifts platform. As employees complete shifts, available tip earnings are automatically calculated and made accessible through Clair, eliminating manual processes for operators. The launch comes as many workers continue to struggle with expenses between pay cycles. By offering optional instant access to tips at no cost to the employer, 7shifts and Clair are helping operators reduce administrative burden while giving employees greater financial flexibility when they need it most.
