So how can your value via your DCF model be so different to other analysts? Just goes to show that DCFs are extremely subjective and the slightest variation in "inputs" can result in very different outcomes. Coupled with the above you may have an "agenda" we do know about, made incorrect assumptions or be unaware of critical information so I take community contributions with a grain of salt at best. I'm not picking on you per se. This is an observation for all community contributors and to a lesser extent professional market analysts.

Did you read the article ? There are major technological and regulatory hurdles to overcome for any of these pie in the sky products to make it to market. Right now based on the fundamentals Tesla is majorly over valued. The share price is simply a reflection of peoples belief ( misguided?) in Elon to achieve miracles.

Hes simply saying the metrics dont support the value. Tesla is a classic case of intangible factors at play i.e. market psychology . Ive seen plenty of companies which are heavily undervalued because they are out of favour. Tesla is the opposite. Elon with his God like status has people ignoring the fundamentals and buying into him rather than the company. I like Elon but I dont let my emotions dictate my buying behaviour. Sooner or later a companys share will reflect the underlying fundamentals.

what would be really helpful is advice on how to purchase stocks on the Xetra exchange. This proves difficult when you live in New Zealand where no one seems to be able to give access to exchanges outside of NZ, Australia and the US
