This is a fair point. To address your concerns: (a) competitors - battery storage is becoming an issue of national security, therefore the Western world, at best, may be reluctant or, at worst, sanction Chinese competitors. There are also balance of trade/dependence issues with Chinese suppliers (b) Many competitors are not publicly listed and are therefore uninvestable for retail investors, coupled with their progress is less transparent (c) Revenue generation 5-years out - QS price may have more or less bottomed, potentially providing upside asymmetry. The narrative points out the size of the addressable market. This market is expanding and now I would emphasise robotics, data centres and drone technology to the addressable market. QS has charging speed and operational environment advantages, even IF it becomes a niche player, the addressable market is still huge and growing. The 5-year timeline is to full fruition. QS revenue IS increasing, as are shipments. If/as and when, more milestones are met (QS hasn't missed any yet) logically price should rise. Early positioning ensures investors catch the wave, acknowledging that volatility will be part of the journey.
