They are definitely not comparable. Huntington Ingalls Industries has a market capitalization of $12 billion, while TKMS has a market capitalization of €4 billion. Huntington Ingalls Industries manufactures aircraft carriers and provides AI solutions. TKMS manufactures submarines and smaller ships and has a short trading history. In general, I would not get too attached to ships and submarines, because their production is long and costly, whereas ammunition production is fast and we have a shortage of it in Europe. In general, American defense companies are too big, expensive, and slow-growing. If you are looking for a world champion, it is Rheinmetall in Germany - better than Lockheed Martin, SAAB, BAE...

Today a meeting between Trump, Putin, and Zelenskyj was announced = maybe a ceasefire, maybe peace, maybe nothing again. 1) If there is peace or a ceasefire, then a short-term decline in European arms companies by tens of percent = an excellent opportunity to buy. 2) If there is peace or a ceasefire, European construction and infrastructure companies such as ThyssenKrupp (steel), Bilfinger (engineering networks), Siemens Energy (energy), Heidelberg Materials (building materials), Hochtief (construction company), Siemens (industrial manufacturer) and diesel generator and engine manufacturer Deutz will grow.
