Hemlo Mining Reports Larger Hemlo Gold Mine Resource Backed by 130,000 Metre Drilling Program Hemlo Mining announced an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Hemlo Gold Mine in Marathon, Ontario, showing significant increases in Measured & Indicated Mineral Resources compared with the 2025 report, supported by new mineralization zones, higher gold prices and additional drilling.
The company is running a 130,000 metre drilling program and plans a comprehensive Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve update in the second half of 2027, suggesting a multi year effort to refine the mine plan and extend the operation’s life.
Hemlo Mining’s shares trade at about CA$5.49, with the stock down 6.6% over the past day, placing this resource update against a backdrop of recent share price weakness.
The bigger takeaway is that Hemlo Mining is tying its growth outlook to an aggressive drilling campaign and updated resource base, which can change how you think about future production potential but also concentrates execution and geological risk in a single core asset. Announcement • Jun 22
