- RocketBoots is a business with a mature (10 years of data used to train it, evidentially) AI-driven bit of software. It receives signals from the clients' cameras and the SaaS interprets, identifies and reports specific behaviours in real time, sometimes before they even take place.(?).
- This mode of surveilance is proving extremely popular. At $3.5k per unit per year, servicing a supermarket chain of 10000 locations should provide a very healthy profit. However, ROC is currently targeting ~450,000 retail sites across Australia, Europe and the US. I can feel blisters forming on my calculator fingers.
- The writing is on the wall. As things become more financially straining, shoplifting will continue to grow across the retail landscape. The solution that this program provides, with a tiny bit of setting up, may initially receive some shopper resistance. Transient?
- ROC is targeting ~450,000 retail sites across Australia, Europe and the US. A Base case of only 10% of this number would earn ROC a good re-rate.
