Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc engages in the generation, distribution, transmission, sale, and trade of electricity primarily to mining customers in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It operates in two segments, Sale of Electricity and Wheeling Services. The company owns and operates a biodiesel production plant; 80 megawatts (MW) of thermal generation capacity; 34 MW solar photovoltaic plant; 487 circuit breakers; 186 transformers; and 45 high voltage substations, as well as approximately 1,070 kilometers of transmission and distribution lines and a transmission interconnection with the DRC.
