About the Company
Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc engages in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity primarily to mines in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The company owns and operates an 80 megawatts (MW) of thermal generation capacity; 1 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant; bio-diesel production plant; and 43 high voltage substations, as well as approximately 1,000 kilometers of transmission lines and a transmission interconnection between Zambia and the DRC. It is also involved in the international power trading business.
