Endúr Sees Insider Stock Selling

Published
OB:ENDUR

Insiders were net sellers of Endúr ASA's (OB:ENDUR ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders sold more stock than they bought.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Endúr

The Board Member, Jorn Ryberg, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for kr5.5m worth of shares at a price of kr40.50 each. That means that even when the share price was below the current price of kr44.20, an insider wanted to cash in some shares. We generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they did so below the current price, because it implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. Please do note, however, that sellers may have a variety of reasons for selling, so we don't know for sure what they think of the stock price. It is worth noting that this sale was only 7.0% of Jorn Ryberg's holding. The only individual insider seller over the last year was Jorn Ryberg. Notably Jorn Ryberg was also the biggest buyer, having purchased kr5.2m worth of shares.

In the last twelve months insiders purchased 189.95k shares for kr5.2m. On the other hand they divested 134.58k shares, for kr5.5m. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. Does Endúr Boast High Insider Ownership?

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. Endúr insiders own about kr113m worth of shares. That equates to 7.9% of the company. We've certainly seen higher levels of insider ownership elsewhere, but these holdings are enough to suggest alignment between insiders and the other shareholders.
