Senshu ElectricLtd's Projected Earnings Seem Likely To Cover Future Distributions
If the payments aren't sustainable, a high yield for a few years won't matter that much. However, Senshu ElectricLtd's earnings easily cover the dividend. This means that most of its earnings are being retained to grow the business.
Over the next year, EPS is forecast to expand by 7.4%. If the dividend continues on this path, the payout ratio could be 33% by next year, which we think can be pretty sustainable going forward.
Senshu ElectricLtd Has A Solid Track Record
The company has been paying a dividend for a long time, and it has been quite stable which gives us confidence in the future dividend potential. Since 2015, the annual payment back then was ¥16.00, compared to the most recent full-year payment of ¥140.00. This means that it has been growing its distributions at 24% per annum over that time. It is good to see that there has been strong dividend growth, and that there haven't been any cuts for a long time.
The Dividend Looks Likely To Grow
Some investors will be chomping at the bit to buy some of the company's stock based on its dividend history. We are encouraged to see that Senshu ElectricLtd has grown earnings per share at 28% per year over the past five years. Earnings per share is growing at a solid clip, and the payout ratio is low which we think is an ideal combination in a dividend stock as the company can quite easily raise the dividend in the future.
Senshu ElectricLtd Looks Like A Great Dividend Stock
Overall, a dividend increase is always good, and we think that Senshu ElectricLtd is a strong income stock thanks to its track record and growing earnings. Earnings are easily covering distributions, and the company is generating plenty of cash. All of these factors considered, we think this has solid potential as a dividend stock.
Investors generally tend to favour companies with a consistent, stable dividend policy as opposed to those operating an irregular one.
