Despite the fact that Frontier IP Group Plc's (LON:FIPP) value has dropped 12% in the last week insiders who sold UK£102k worth of stock in the past 12 months have had less success. The average selling price of UK£0.68 is still lower than the current share price, or in other words, insiders would have been better off holding on to their shares.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Frontier IP Group

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the Independent Non-Executive Chairman, Kevin Richmond, for UK£102k worth of shares, at about UK£0.69 per share. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (UK£0.41). So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price. The only individual insider seller over the last year was Kevin Richmond.
