Technip Energies CEO & Executive Director Arnaud Pieton Sells 27% Of Holding
We wouldn't blame Technip Energies N.V. That sale reduced their total holding by 27% which is hardly insignificant, but far from the worst we've seen.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Technip Energies
In fact, the recent sale by Arnaud Pieton was the biggest sale of Technip Energies shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of €20.84. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive).

Does Technip Energies Boast High Insider Ownership?
Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Technip Energies insiders own about €23m worth of shares. That equates to 0.6% of the company. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
So What Do The Technip Energies Insider Transactions Indicate?
An insider sold stock recently, but they haven't been buying. And our longer term analysis of insider transactions didn't bring confidence, either. But since Technip Energies is profitable and growing, we're not too worried by this. While insiders do own shares, they don't own a heap, and they have been selling. So we'd only buy after careful consideration. While it's good to be aware of what's going on with the insider's ownership and transactions, we make sure to also consider what risks are facing a stock before making any investment decision. In terms of investment risks, we've identified 2 warning signs with Technip Energies and understanding these should be part of your investment process.
