The fund is co-managed by BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A. It invests in the fixed income markets of Canada. The fund invests in fixed or variable rate preferred securities issued by corporations. It invests in securities rated P-3 or its equivalent by S&P, DBRS Limited or Moody’s. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index, by investing in the securities as per their weightings in the index. It was formerly known as iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index Fund. iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index ETF was formed on April 5, 2007 and is domiciled in Canada.
