Oman Chlorine S.A.O.G., together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells industrial chemicals in the Sultanate of Oman. It provides hydrochloric acid for activation of petroleum process, water treatment, food processing, manufacture of chlorine dioxide, catalyst in organic process, removal of heavy metals from carbon black and activated carbon, leaching alumina from crystalline zeolites, hydrolyzing agent, and pickling in metal industries. The company also offers caustic soda flakes and lye products for use in pulp and paper, textile, soap and detergent, aluminum metal, chemical process, water treatment, and bleach manufacturing industries, as well as in petroleum products. In addition, it provides sodium hypochlorite, which is used in bleaching, stain removal, disinfection/sanitation, deodorizing, and water treatment industries; and calcium chloride anhydrous granules that is used in petroleum drilling and extraction, as well as a raw material for chemical industries and a deicing agent. Further, the company manufactures chlorine; and engages in the investment activities. It also exports its products. The company was incorporated in 1997 and is based in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman.
