Looking at Gruppo MutuiOnline S.p.A's (BIT:MOL ) insider transactions over the last year, we can see that insiders were net sellers. That is, there were more number of shares sold by insiders than there were purchased.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Gruppo MutuiOnline Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the CEO & Executive Director, Alessandro Alvaro Fracassi, sold €373k worth of shares at a price of €28.45 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to take some cash off the table, even below the current price of €35.00. When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. Please do note, however, that sellers may have a variety of reasons for selling, so we don't know for sure what they think of the stock price. We note that the biggest single sale was only 4.7% of Alessandro Alvaro Fracassi's holding. Alessandro Alvaro Fracassi was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.

Alessandro Alvaro Fracassi divested 16.63k shares over the last 12 months at an average price of €28.98.
