New minor risk - Insider selling There has been significant insider selling in the company's shares over the past 3 months. Total value of shares sold: US$249k This is considered a minor risk. There are several reasons why an insider may be selling, including to cover a tax obligation or pay for some other expense. However, we generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they do so below the current price. It implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. This is a weak signal, but if there is a pattern of unexplained selling, it can be a sign the insider believes the company's stock is overpriced. Note: We only include open market transactions and private dispositions of directly owned stock by individuals, not by corporations or trusts. Currently, the following risks have been identified for the company: Minor Risks High level of debt (73% net debt to equity). Unstable dividend paying track record with dividend experiencing an annual drop of over 20% in the past. Significant insider selling over the past 3 months (US$249k sold). Announcement • May 05
DiamondRock Hospitality Company Provides Earnings Guidance for the Full Year 2026 DiamondRock Hospitality Company provided earnings guidance for the full year 2026. For the year, the company expected net income to be in the range of $103,200,000 to $116,200,000. Live News • May 04
DiamondRock Hospitality Surpasses Q1 Expectations and Lifts 2026 Outlook on Resort Performance DiamondRock Hospitality reported Q1 2026 earnings per share of $0.22, above analyst expectations of $0.19, with revenue 1.3% higher year over year.
Comparable RevPAR grew 2%, led by the resort portfolio and including contributions from the renovated L’Auberge de Sedona.
Management raised full-year 2026 guidance for RevPAR and adjusted EBITDA and plans to sell one hotel in Q2, with proceeds earmarked for general corporate uses such as potential share repurchases.
For you as an investor, the key takeaway is that Q1 performance came in ahead of what analysts were looking for, helped by a mix of modest revenue growth and tight expense control that supported FFO margin and free cash flow per share. The resort-heavy part of the portfolio, including L’Auberge de Sedona, appears to be an important driver, while group revenue and urban hotels remain a softer spot.
The uplift in full-year guidance signals that management currently sees the existing portfolio and cost base as supportive of stronger full-year RevPAR and adjusted EBITDA than previously expected. The planned hotel sale and continued focus on a conservative balance sheet give the company some flexibility on capital allocation, including the option of share repurchases, while dividend momentum and the premium hotel mix may be important factors if you are assessing income and quality of assets within the lodging REIT space.
