EverQuote, Inc. Beat Analyst Estimates: See What The Consensus Is Forecasting For This Year
A week ago, EverQuote, Inc. (NASDAQ:EVER) came out with a strong set of annual numbers that could potentially lead to a re-rate of the stock. It was overall a positive result, with revenues beating expectations by 2.8% to hit US$500m. EverQuote reported statutory earnings per share (EPS) US$0.88, which was a notable 18% above what the analysts had forecast. Following the result, the analysts have updated their earnings model, and it would be good to know whether they think there's been a strong change in the company's prospects, or if it's business as usual. With this in mind, we've gathered the latest statutory forecasts to see what the analysts are expecting for next year.

Taking into account the latest results, the current consensus from EverQuote's seven analysts is for revenues of US$623.8m in 2025. This would reflect a major 25% increase on its revenue over the past 12 months. Per-share earnings are expected to soar 32% to US$1.20. Before this earnings report, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of US$578.8m and earnings per share (EPS) of US$0.81 in 2025. So it seems there's been a definite increase in optimism about EverQuote's future following the latest results, with a sizeable expansion in the earnings per share forecasts in particular.
It will come as no surprise to learn that the analysts have increased their price target for EverQuote 8.6% to US$33.83on the back of these upgrades. That's not the only conclusion we can draw from this data however, as some investors also like to consider the spread in estimates when evaluating analyst price targets. Currently, the most bullish analyst values EverQuote at US$38.00 per share, while the most bearish prices it at US$29.00. Still, with such a tight range of estimates, it suggeststhe analysts have a pretty good idea of what they think the company is worth.
One way to get more context on these forecasts is to look at how they compare to both past performance, and how other companies in the same industry are performing. The analysts are definitely expecting EverQuote's growth to accelerate, with the forecast 25% annualised growth to the end of 2025 ranking favourably alongside historical growth of 3.8% per annum over the past five years. Compare this with other companies in the same industry, which are forecast to grow their revenue 10% annually. Factoring in the forecast acceleration in revenue, it's pretty clear that EverQuote is expected to grow much faster than its industry.
The Bottom Line
The most important thing here is that the analysts upgraded their earnings per share estimates, suggesting that there has been a clear increase in optimism towards EverQuote following these results. Pleasantly, they also upgraded their revenue estimates, and their forecasts suggest the business is expected to grow faster than the wider industry. We note an upgrade to the price target, suggesting that the analysts believes the intrinsic value of the business is likely to improve over time.
Following on from that line of thought, we think that the long-term prospects of the business are much more relevant than next year's earnings. At Simply Wall St, we have a full range of analyst estimates for EverQuote going out to 2027, and you can see them free on our platform here..
