Even though Sarine Technologies Ltd. (SGX:U77) has fallen by 10% over the past week , insiders who sold US$12m worth of stock over the past year have had less luck. Insiders would probably have been better off holding on to their shares given that the average selling price of US$0.46 is still lower than the current share price.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Sarine Technologies Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Ehud Harel, for S$12m worth of shares, at about S$0.46 per share. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (S$0.27). So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels. The only individual insider seller over the last year was Ehud Harel.
