Norsk Titanium's Market Cap Drops To kr209m Leaving Insiders With Losses
The recent price decline of 43% in Norsk Titanium AS' (OB:NTI) stock may have disappointed insiders who bought US$10.4m worth of shares at an average price of US$3.00 in the past 12 months. Insiders buy with the expectation to see their investments rise in value over a period of time. However, recent losses have rendered their above investment worth US$2.67m which is not ideal.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Norsk Titanium
In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Director Shan-E-Abbas Ashary bought kr10m worth of shares at a price of kr3.00 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being kr0.77). It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. It is encouraging to see an insider paid above the current price for shares, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels. Shan-E-Abbas Ashary was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.
