Japan Wool Textile's Earnings Easily Cover The Distributions

If the payments aren't sustainable, a high yield for a few years won't matter that much. However, Japan Wool Textile's earnings easily cover the dividend. As a result, a large proportion of what it earned was being reinvested back into the business.

If the trend of the last few years continues, EPS will grow by 7.4% over the next 12 months. If the dividend continues on this path, the payout ratio could be 30% by next year, which we think can be pretty sustainable going forward.

The company has an extended history of paying stable dividends. Since 2014, the annual payment back then was ¥18.00, compared to the most recent full-year payment of ¥36.00. The dividend has been growing very nicely for a number of years, and has given its shareholders some nice income in their portfolios.

We Could See Japan Wool Textile's Dividend Growing

Investors who have held shares in the company for the past few years will be happy with the dividend income they have received. It's encouraging to see that Japan Wool Textile has been growing its earnings per share at 7.4% a year over the past five years. With a decent amount of growth and a low payout ratio, we think this bodes well for Japan Wool Textile's prospects of growing its dividend payments in the future.

We Really Like Japan Wool Textile's Dividend

Overall, a dividend increase is always good, and we think that Japan Wool Textile is a strong income stock thanks to its track record and growing earnings.
