MaxCyte Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Notably, that recent purchase by Maher Masoud is the biggest insider purchase of MaxCyte shares that we've seen in the last year. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of UK£3.80. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. Maher Masoud was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.

Insider Ownership Of MaxCyte
I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. From our data, it seems that MaxCyte insiders own 1.3% of the company, worth about UK£5.0m. Whilst better than nothing, we're not overly impressed by these holdings.
So What Does This Data Suggest About MaxCyte Insiders?
It is good to see the recent insider purchase. And an analysis of the transactions over the last year also gives us confidence. But on the other hand, the company made a loss during the last year, which makes us a little cautious. While the overall levels of insider ownership are below what we'd like to see, the history of transactions imply that MaxCyte insiders are reasonably well aligned, and optimistic for the future. While it's good to be aware of what's going on with the insider's ownership and transactions, we make sure to also consider what risks are facing a stock before making any investment decision. Be aware that MaxCyte is showing 3 warning signs in our investment analysis, and 2 of those are concerning...
